Thyme for cough syrup & the holidays

My son and I have had a cold for what seems like forever now. Taliesin has had a cough for a week and I have found this thyme recipe that does help.  Simmer a small handful of dried thyme (larger handful for fresh) in a cup of water, simmer for a half hour at least, strain, then stir in a quarter cup of honey into the ‘tea’- give or take a tablespoon. Store in fridge about a month.  Honey is wonderful for the throat anyway, so this really soothed us! A friend named Tammy spoke of Colloidal silver.  I am reading up on it!

holiday soaps 2014It is not too later to order some great soaps for stocking stuffers!

My Solstice, and Frankincense & Myrrh have really sold well this year!  *Thank you so much for a wonderful year* ❤

Great karma comes immediately in so many seen and unseen ways when you buy from local, small owned business!

On Thanksgiving my step-mom and dad come down for a fun feast: Turkey, sweet potato casserole, roasted rosemary potatoes, apple coleslaw, rolls and broccoli casserole. YUM! Of course, the traditional spinach dip too, and nuts galore.

For the December holidays it is just us; hubby and son- nice and quiet…opening gifts by the fire and burning the Yule log for a bright new year…and a non-traditional dinner of homemade bread, lasagna and salad-served on a formal dining table with pine tree plates. 🙂

How cool is this! A little fluff and cutouts from Christmas cards to make captured (and unharmed!) fairies!
