In the shower today I noticed someone-most likely my husband Mark- put a bar of oatmeal soap in there. OK then!
I had made some of this wonderful soap that smells SO good, like milk, almonds, honey and oatmeal! With cool weather around the corner it’s a welcoming fragrance. ❤
I REALLY look forward to cool weather and colored leaves! Eventually Winter comes in with dry, cold weather. Eczema can flare up though. I’ve had a good handful of mothers tell me my oatmeal soap has helped tremendously with their child’s eczema. Taliesin had a bit as a toddler, and I remember bathing him in Avena oatmeal solutions. I never told him the sight of oatmeal floating around the bath grossed me out a bit! But it did help, that’s all that counts, right?
Oatmeal is so beneficial! Add a couple cups to a warm bath and soak for 15-20 minutes, or make a paste out of ground up oatmeal in your blender, then mix in a bowl with a little milk and apply to site. The oatmeal reduces inflammation and is thought to have an antihistamine effect.
My Oatmeal Soap is FULL of oatmeal and topped with more. It makes skin SUPER soft, and gives a gentle exfoliation. The scent is comforting like a warm blanket.
Thanks for reading! 😀
Ciao for now!
