My soaps receive reiki lovin’ by yours truly before they are wrapped up and ready to ship. 🙂
In Florida I was much more involved in reiki. It definitely helped my friends either physically or emotionally! I love it, and honestly should do more of it..especially to myself!
What is reiki? Well, according to the online dictionary = “..a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.”
Reiki is a form of alternative medicine developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. Since originating in Japan, Reiki has been adapted into varying cultural traditions across the world. Through a Master Reiki teacher you receive special attunements after training and study. Thankfully, reiki does not drain your energy; your energy from reiki comes from the universe itself. No dogma involved, reiki energy can come from where you believe it comes from; God, Jesus, Goddess, Universe, etc.. A great website for continued learning is http://www.reiki.org/
So..why reiki soaps? Because I can! Reiki energy in soaps, I believe, could just simply make you feel better in the bath. That has always been my goal, and hope in even a little way it does. ❤
Don’t get me started on how much I LOVE this beautiful country! I have been three times (twice as a soldier), and had the wonderful pleasure of taking my son with me this fourth time to see my Deutsche Freundin (German gal friend!). We visited Dresden and Frankfurt. Dresden was particularly exciting, as I have never been able to visit the eastern part of Germany before this. Like every other place in Germany, Dresden is amazing and requires a week to see everything!!
The food..just everything is wonderful. In our favorite town of Oberursel, my son even got to play Magic the Gathering one night with a great gang of boys at the local Computer Store. Really miss it there always. ❤
Summer time is fun time..also some school time…which we make as fun as possible. Really, anything is a learning experience, right? 😀
We have these old, really old books from Piccolos in Belmont, an awesome antique store. $20.00 for all those red books on children’s classics. Dated 1912. Really, not THAT old. I love old books! Dated similar is that smaller brown book; it belonged to my grandfather. It was his elementary math book! Now it’s Taliesin’s, and he uses it! The larger brown book on the left there is from England (also from Piccolos) and it is dated 1806. Title, The Guardian, from London. The book is old to the point where the ‘s’ are ‘f’. Pretty cool! I love old books!! I think (or hope) Tali appreciates, too.
I’ve been trying to take photos of birds, particularly, hummingbirds at the feeder. I’ll be out on the deck, and not have my camera at the best moments!! So here are a couple for you! I took the one of the hummingbird hanging out on the clothing line today. Hurricane Hermine is around here but we are only getting the tail-end of it. Some wind, some rain here near Charlotte, NC. I really hope everyone else is alright.
So the family’s been trying to be more spontaneous; especially myself and my son. We love to plan things out before we do them– I’m talking at least a couple weeks in advance!
When I saw a Rankin Lake in Gastonia North Carolina and I realize it’s just a few miles from us, we decided let’s go check it out even though it’s pretty hot outside it was almost noon .
What a beautiful place and felt very safe! There was even a ranger who explained everything to me about the paddleboats, kayaks, canoes, and a beautiful trail, very clean one mile .6 around the beautiful lake. Turtles and fish everywhere! People looked healthy jogging or paddling canoes. Our type of place. We plan to go often! 🙂
It’s always nice when you find a place close by you never always have to travel far to enjoy life.
2013 was a wonderful year for my family and Faerykissnaturals in Gaston County, North Carolina! This is my new site where you are still able to buy from myEtsy store! I make handcrafted CP (homemade, no short cuts) soaps, solid Shea butter lotions, lip Shea butter balms, herbal salves too since 2007.
I really have fun doing it! I got my certification at the Fort Lauderdale Natural Health College in Skin Care (esthetician) in 2002. I also have an Associates in Applied Science
My soaps are large, creamy, sudsy, and reasonably priced! I ship all over the world and sell in many shops in my area around Gaston County, NC: Organic Marketplace, The Schiele Museum, Mattie Maes, Things Remembered, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, Lowes Foods in Gaston County, Charlotte Landings Gifts (at the airport), Piccolo Antiques in Belmont, Running with Scissors hair salon, Angels Upscale Consignments in Bessemer City and Church’s Spa.
